Filing income tax in Canada can be easy. The  4 short videos give an overview of basic Canadian income tax, information about how the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) can help you, and what documents you need for income tax filing.

New Journey Housing may help you file income tax returns IF:

1. you are a newcomer to Canada (born outside of Canada)

 2. you have a simple tax situation.

Simple tax situation means that during the tax year, you did not file bankruptcy, you had no business income, and are not filing for a deceased person.

3. Your household income is within the income limits for our program:

Income tax filing schedules:

Monday – Friday @ 9 AM – 4 PM.

Saturdays, March 14 and 21 @ 9:30 AM – 2 PM

 Please make sure all your tax documents are ready when you come to your appointment.
