First-time Home Buyer’s Tax Credit
You can apply for tax credit on the first home that you buy. You will have to apply for it when you file your income tax for the year when you bought your home. If you are having someone file your tax returns for you, you need to tell them that you bought your first house. You can get information online through the Canada Revenue Agency.
